CitizenResident’s Pensionado Visa Coordination Package — Premium includes the essential Pensionado coordination process plus authorized translation coordination, Panama bank account support, airport VIP pass coordination, airport-to-city transportation, local SIM card assistance and post-approval cédula coordination.
The Pensionado Visa Coordination Package — Premium is designed for retirees, pensioners and lifetime pension income recipients who want more than essential document and filing workflow coordination.
For many clients, moving to Panama is not only about preparing a residency file. It is also about reducing stress, organizing documents, coordinating translations, planning the trip, arriving smoothly, setting up local connectivity, opening a bank account and preparing for post-approval cédula steps.
The Premium Package was created for clients who want a higher-touch experience from the beginning.
This package may be suitable for clients who:
want a more complete Pensionado Visa coordination experience;
prefer CitizenResident to coordinate translations within approved limits;
need support with Panama bank account coordination;
want airport VIP pass coordination;
want transportation from the airport to the city;
need local SIM card assistance after arrival;
want cédula coordination after approval;
prefer enhanced settlement-oriented support;
may later consider the ongoing post-approval coordination service.
The Premium Package may include everything in the Basic Package, plus:
authorized translation coordination within approved limits;
Panama bank account coordination;
airport VIP pass coordination;
airport-to-city transportation coordination;
local SIM card assistance;
cédula coordination after approval;
enhanced settlement-oriented support;
stronger arrival and post-approval organization.
The final approved proposal should confirm exact scope, limits, included items and exclusions.
1. Pensionado profile and project organization
The process begins by organizing the client’s profile, pension source, dependents and timing. The eligibility review and legal filing strategy are handled by the independent immigration professional.
Panama’s official requirement sheet states that the Pensionado category applies to foreigners receiving a retirement income or pension from a foreign government, international organization or private company, with a monthly pension of at least B/.1,000.00 granted for life.
2. Document checklist and pension evidence coordination
CitizenResident helps coordinate the document checklist and pension evidence organization.
This may include passport copies, criminal background certificates, pension letters, pension payment evidence, civil status documents, birth certificates, marriage certificates, dependent documentation, medical certificate coordination and personal background forms.
3. Authorized translation coordination
The Premium Package may include authorized translation coordination within the limits stated in the approved proposal.
This is valuable because foreign documents often need to be translated into Spanish before being used in Panama. Timing is important: documents should be translated after proper legalization or apostille when required and before final filing preparation.
4. Apostille and legalization workflow
Documents issued abroad may need apostille or consular legalization. The Embassy of Panama states that documents issued abroad must be authenticated by the Panamanian Consulate or apostilled before being submitted to the attorney in Panama.
CitizenResident helps coordinate the document flow so that the professional partner receives organized and properly sequenced documentation.
5. Panama bank account coordination
The Premium Package includes bank account coordination.
This may be useful for retirees who plan to live in Panama, pay local expenses, support dependent solvency, receive funds, prepare for utility payments, organize local financial activity or simply establish a banking relationship in Panama.
CitizenResident may help coordinate the banking profile, document collection and communication with banking contacts. Bank approval is never guaranteed and remains subject to the bank’s internal compliance review.
6. Travel and airport VIP pass coordination
The Premium Package may include airport VIP pass coordination, subject to availability and provider conditions.
This is designed to make the arrival experience smoother, especially for clients arriving with family members, documents, luggage or scheduled appointments.
7. Airport-to-city transportation
CitizenResident may help coordinate transportation from the airport to Panama City, the client’s hotel, residence or other agreed destination.
This helps reduce arrival stress and allows the client to focus on the process rather than local logistics.
8. Local SIM card assistance
The Premium Package may include local SIM card assistance or mobile connectivity support, subject to provider conditions and local requirements.
This helps the client communicate with CitizenResident, the professional partner, drivers, banks, medical providers and other local contacts during the visit.
9. Filing workflow coordination
Once the file is complete, the independent immigration professional handles the filing before the competent authority.
The Embassy of Panama states that applications must be submitted in Panama through a lawyer and that the application must be processed by a Panamanian attorney.
CitizenResident helps coordinate the workflow, communication and pending-item follow-up around that professional process.
10. Processing follow-up
After filing, CitizenResident may help coordinate follow-up with the professional partner regarding updates, pending items and next steps.
Processing times, requests and decisions remain subject to the relevant authority.
11. Cédula coordination after approval
The Premium Package includes cédula coordination after approval, when applicable.
The official National Immigration Service requirement sheet states that the Pensionado permit is indefinite and does not require extension. After approval, the client may still need resident card and cédula-related coordination depending on the documents issued and the next steps confirmed by the professional partner.
12. Enhanced settlement-oriented support
The Premium Package helps the client arrive and settle with more structure.
This may include practical reminders, appointment coordination, document organization and smoother communication during the transition to life in Panama.
Unless expressly included in the approved proposal, the Premium Package does not include:
government fees;
bank fees;
bank approval;
legal advice by CitizenResident;
immigration filing by CitizenResident;
tax advice;
accounting advice;
real estate brokerage;
property purchase assistance;
company or foundation incorporation;
fiduciary services;
courier fees;
apostille or consular fees abroad;
airfare;
hotel accommodation;
insurance;
medical expenses;
long-term long-term post-approval coordination support.
The Premium Package is recommended for clients who want a more comfortable and guided experience in Panama.
It is especially useful for retirees who prefer not to coordinate translations, banking, airport arrival, transportation, local connectivity and post-approval cédula steps separately.
For this type of client, the value is not only in preparing the residency file. The value is in reducing friction before arrival, during the visit and after approval.
After the Pensionado Visa process is completed, some clients may want ongoing support for future document organization, banking updates, local coordination, property matters, tax or accounting reminders, translations, renewals or communication with different professionals.
In that case, CitizenResident may offer the ongoing post-approval coordination service as a separate continuity service.
The Premium Package supports the relocation process.
The ongoing post-approval coordination supports ongoing life organization in Panama.
CitizenResident helps coordinate the project workflow, document flow, provider communication, travel support and post-approval organization. Immigration advice, eligibility review, legal opinions, filings and representation before authorities are handled by independent licensed professionals. Banking approval, government decisions, document acceptance and processing times are outside CitizenResident’s control.
